The Director General of the Mogadishu Port Authority, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), today welcomed the Chief of the Somali Police Force, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, to his office for a high-level security coordination meeting.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the Mogadishu Port Authority and the Somali Police Force, with the aim of enhancing security measures at Mogadishu Port. Discussions emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient environment to support uninterrupted port operations and safeguard critical national infrastructure.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation, information sharing, and coordinated action to address security challenges and uphold international safety standards within the Port.

The engagement reflects the Mogadishu Port Authority’s ongoing commitment to ensuring security, operational resilience, and confidence among port users, while reinforcing the Port’s role as a secure gateway for trade and economic activity in Somalia.
