Director General Bids Farewell and Encourages Mogadishu Port Football Club Ahead of CAF Tournament

The Director General of the Mogadishu Port Authority, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), held a farewell and encouragement meeting with the players and management of the Mogadishu Port Football Club as they prepare to represent Somalia in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournament abroad.

During the meeting, the Director General conveyed his best wishes to the team, expressing confidence in their ability to achieve positive results and represent the nation with pride. He encouraged the players to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to continuous improvement, emphasizing that dedication and teamwork are key to success on and off the field.

H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo) further reaffirmed his personal support for the team, announcing his intention to be present in Nairobi during their first match of the tournament. He also called upon members of the Somali community in Nairobi to attend the games and stand in solidarity with the team, highlighting the importance of collective national support.

The management and players of the Mogadishu Port Football Club expressed their sincere appreciation to the Director General for his consistent backing of the Club, his broader support for sports development, and his commitment to empowering Somali youth through athletics.
