The Director General of the Mogadishu Port Authority, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), convened an introductory and consultative meeting with staff members of the Authority as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen internal coordination and advance the Port’s development agenda.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director, Dr. Ali Haji Mohamed, along with the heads of all port departments. During the session, departmental leaders provided comprehensive briefings on current operations, ongoing activities, and the key challenges facing the Authority in delivering efficient port services.
In his closing remarks, the Director General outlined his priority areas for the next phase of Mogadishu Port’s development. He placed particular emphasis on enhancing logistical capacity to better support the needs of Mogadishu, the capital city, and the wider nation, while ensuring the Port continues to operate as a critical driver of economic activity.
H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo) underscored the importance of professionalism, accountability, and performance across all levels of the Authority. He encouraged staff to carry out their duties with dedication and integrity, reaffirming that collective responsibility and teamwork are essential to achieving sustainable progress.
“My office is open to all port staff. Together, we will build a port that Somalia can be proud of,” the Director General stated, highlighting his commitment to inclusive leadership and open communication.
The consultative meeting reflects the Mogadishu Port Authority’s commitment to institutional strengthening, transparency, and staff engagement as it works toward building a modern, efficient, and nationally impactful port.
