The Director General of Mogadishu Port, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur, received a formal invitation from Port of Seattle Commission member Ms. Hamdi Mohamed & was warmly welcomed by Ms. Hamdi Mohamed and Commissioner Mr. Sam Cho.
During the meeting, the H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur briefed the Seattle Port Commission on the significant progress and reforms implemented at Mogadishu Port, highlighting improvements in operations, the various services provided, the new Mogadishu Port Project, and ongoing development plans. For their part, the Seattle Port Commission presented an overview of the management, operations, and world-class services of Seattle Port.
The two sides discussed how to strengthen bilateral cooperation by establishing a Sisters Port Partnership, aimed at promoting the exchange of expertise, professional training, technical cooperation, and capacity-building programs for Mogadishu Port staff.
The Director General of Mogadishu Port, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur extended a formal invitation to Commissioner Ms. Hamdi Mohamed to visit Mogadishu Port on a working visit. Ms. Hamdi Mohamed gladly accepted the invitation, marking the beginning of a strong partnership that will benefit both ports.
