The Director General of Mogadishu Port, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur who is on an official visit to Seattle, USA, visited the City of SeaTac, where he was warmly received by the Mayor of SeaTac, Mr Mohamed Egal.

The meeting coincided with the United States’ Independence Day celebrations and also provided an opportunity to jointly commemorate Somalia’s Independence and Union Day on July 1, alongside the U.S. Independence Day on July 4, reflecting the strong friendship and shared values between the two communities.

The visit forms part of H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur official Visit to Seattle, following two formal invitations, one extended by Ms. Hamdi Mohamed a Member of the Port of Seattle Commission, and the other by Mr. Mohamed Egal, Mayor of the City of SeaTac.

The meetings focused on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing institutional cooperation, exchanging expertise in port management and municipal governance, and exploring opportunities for future collaboration and partnership between Mogadishu Port and institutions in the Seattle region.
